What my sister and I found when researching invitation options is that pretty much the sky is the limit as far as variety and price. Your selection is only matched by your budget. These customizeable Elegant Golden Anniversary Invitations mentioned in this post are wonderful, however my sister and I did not know about them at the time of our parent's 50th Wedding Celebration.
And that is why our research took us and eventually ended with Invitation Kits.
The invitation kit that we purchased was superb. We were looking for Gold and Cream/Ivory color scheme, elegance, with a subdue level of flair. I was thrilled to receive my sister's cell phone call from one of the local big box office retailers that she had "found Mom and Dad's Anniversary Invitations"!
Here are two pictures of the Gartner Invitation Kit we selected to use to print invitations and response cards for our parents 50th
Wedding Anniversary Celebration. We were thrilled with the completed invitations!
The kit name is Ivory Gold Deckeled Edge Invite Kit (61405) by Gartner. This kit includes 50 invitations and envelopes, 50 note cards and envelopes that can be used as response cards, reception cards, or thank you notes. The ribbon is an ivory sheer with a slight shimmer and is easily inserted at the top of the invitation.
Tips on Printing the Invitations
The invitations are 80lb paper and thus required a little assistance being fed into the printer. I used an HP all-in-one ink jet printer and by assistance I mean I kept my finger at the bottom of the invitation as it was being fed into the printer for printing.
This second "tip" may not be necessary, but you will want to print the invitations and then insert the bow at the top of the invitation.
Additional Items Included In the Kit
The kit included two printing test sheets; one for the invitation, and one for the response cards.
Also included in the kit is a "Tips for Successful Printing" which was very resourceful with instructions and also the website address for further assistance.
So Happy With the Invitation Kit
Here is a photo showing a completed invitation for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration:
I will definitely use invitation kits again in the future!
Great work you have done with your card and congratulations on your golden anniversary. Now people are now looking forward to your anniversary card which should be attractive as you made.
